A recent report from Unicef identified Spain and Mallorca as the 5th highest ranking country in Europe for happiness of children. The netherlands, Sweden, Denmark and Finland took the top 4 places while the UK languished in 21st spot.
Reasons for Spain's high ranking included safety, an outdoor lifestyle, the amount of quality time for the family, excellent schooling and health services along with a generally child and family friendly culture.
